Anti-Dream Act Press Conference

I am still not sure of why this psychology exists... I can understand some things because of the history, but maybe, just maybe because the DREAM Act would benefit me i feel a bit outraged by this. Does it mean that i am being biased?

The power of the people!

It is great to be part of this country. American born citizens never decided to be Americans, they
were among the lucky ones. There are those who come or are brought to this country and decide to become Citizens of such a great nation.

The people who have immigrated to this nation have made it what it is. Diversity makes understanding and innovation possible. People who work hard at any task given whether it be labor work, intellectual work or spiritual work create greatness for this country and its citizens.

There is an opportunity for young man and women who are part of the United States to contribute greatly to society. This group of young adults are among those who were brought to this country having no say on it. Now they are waiting on a dream to come true, to be citizens of this country and start giving back to the nation who has so far helped them tremendously.

Legislature has a way for these dreamers to acquire legal status and thus obtain a carreer or enter the military. The DREAM ACT is a bill that has yet to be passed by Congress which will allow young man and womern who entered the country before the age of 16 and have been here for 5 years since, the chance to study and be instrumental to the United States.

You can make a difference by calling your Senators and telling them that you support this bill known in the Senate as the Development, Relief and Education For Alien Minors Act (S. 2075)

Illegal aliens make American life harder for U.S. citizens. It isn't fair to U.S. citizens who pay taxes and work hard jobs everyday, to be raided by people who have no right to be here.

None of us (except descendants of the American Indians) are naives here. All of our ancestors came to the US to do exactly what the kids who would benefit from the DREAM Act want to do - make a better life for themselves and their children here in American.

There are a lot of problems surrounding illegal immigration, granted, but the DREAM Act is ONLY for people who were raised here and are "of good moral character". These kids are exactly the kind of people we should WANT as citizens here - they want to get a good education and work hard.

People who are US citizens right now don't have the right to shut off everyone else from ever becoming a citizen. If they had done that 50 or 100 years ago, maybe you wouldn't be a citizen either!

Illegal aliens have always been a problem in the United States. Ask any Indian.
you think illegal aliens have done "damage"?.. but what did "americans" do to the native americans.
