Health: Sweet Cereals - Your Sugary Breakfast

please read if you or your children eat these sugary cereals - nutritionists say they should not be in your cupboard.

1.  The high sugar content of the cereals is absorbed very quickly which causes wide fluctuations in your blood sugar levels.
2.  Wide fluctuations in your blood sugar levels contribute to fatty liver disease and elevated cholesterol.
3.  Fatty liver disease is a high risk factor for Type 2 diabetes.
4.  Elevated cholesterol is a risk factor for heart disease.

High sugar diets put children at risk for developing insulin resistance - If your child eats this cereal the consequences will come sooner than you think.  Pre-diabetic children show symtoms as early as 1st grade.

Insulin resistance means your pancreas has to make a lot more insulin to get the blood sugar into the cells - which is a tremendous risk factor for diabetes because your pancreas wears out and you can't make enough insulin to get the blood sugar into your cells, which is a necessity for nutrition.  If your pancreas wears out you get Type 2 Diabetes.
